gases can travel longest distance since they will be having least intermolecular forces but in case of a solid there will be a stronger intermolecular forces so it will be having a definite shape and in case of a liquid will be having little less than a solid intermolecular forces but it is having a definite shape but in case of gas there is will be a less intermolecular forces so there will be no definite shape and then no force so particle can travel longest distance
