The history of the first number system dates back five thousand years, it was the Babylonian who lived in the Mesopotamia who were the first to discover the number system.
EXPLANATION:
They had the had a separate symbol for zero it had sixty as its base and it was a positional number system. Mesopotamia is the present day Iraq. The Hebrew number system also developed during that civilization, they had 22 symbols and contained Hebrew alphabets, they didn’t have a representation of zero.
