Parts of an email message :
An email message contains the following sections:
Header - This is the section that contains information about the sender of the email (from), the recipient(s) of the email (To), subject of the email, date and time stamp of the email, options to send a reply to the sender or forward the message to other recipients, attachment options.
• Sender of the email (From): Email address of the person sending the email
• Recipient(s) of the email (To): Email address(es) of the person(s) receiving the email.
• Subject of the email: Description of the topic or message in a few words
• Date and time stamp: The date and time the message was sent / received.
• Reply / Forward: Option for the recipient to send a reply to the sender or forward the email to other recipients
• Attachments: Allows the person to attach files to the message
Body - This is the section where the content of the email is placed. This contains a detailed description of the email message / topic and conveys the message the sender wants to send to the recipient(s).
