The North West region of India (Western Rajasthan and Kutchchh Region of Gujarat) and part of Ladakh receives less than average rainfall.

The average annual precipitation in these regions is less than 50 cms. The cities like Jaisalmer in Rajasthan and Leh in Ladakh receives least rainfall.
