The ‘London Gazette’ first published as ‘The Oxford Gazette’, on 5 November 1665, in London. Later it's name changed to ‘The London Gazette’. Its first issue was published on 5 February 1666. That time It was not a general news paper and not only was it available for sale at shops, but it was sent to its readers by post.
