The first SAARC summit was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh in 1985 and the 18th Summit was held in Kathmandu, Nepal in 2014. The 19th Summit to be held in Islamabad, Pakistan in November, 2016 was cancelled. Maldives. south-west.
