Here's your answer! ❤
As you know how blood flows. Unlike blood, which flows throughout the body in a continue loop, lymph flows in only one direction within its own system. This flow is only upward toward the neck.

The lymphatic system is a vital system to the body as it serves multiple functions. The system is comprised of many lymph ducts and lymph nodes which drain into the venous system in the chest cavity. It collects and drains all the circulatory system cells that leak from capillaries into interstitial spaces. If also collects and drains cell and metabolic debris and waste. It plays a major role in the immune system as the nodes produce white blood cells (leukocytes) which often are the first line of defense when the body is invaded by foreign microorganisms. The lymphatic system eventually drains into the circulatory system.
