Given :- in which group the given angles (160,20) will fall, if their sum is 180 ?

Answer :-

we know that,

  • when sum of two angles = 90°, they are called as complementry angles .
  • when sum of two angles = 180°, they are called as supplementary angles .

given that,

→ Two angles are = 160° and 20°

so,

→ sum of given two angles = 160° + 20° = 180° .

therefore, we can conclude that, given two angles are supplementary angles .

The angles (160, 20 ) fall under the Supplementary Angles group if their sum is 180°.

Given:

in which group the given angles (160,20) will fall, if their sum is 180

Solution:

Supplementary Angles:

  • Two angles are said to be supplementary angles when their sum equals 180°.

Given two angles:

=> 160° and 20°.

Addition of given angles:

=> 160° + 20° = 180°

Hence, these two angles fall under the Supplementary Angles group.

Other examples of supplementary angles:

=> 100° + 80° = 180°

=> 90° + 90° = 180°

=> 150° + 30° = 180°

=> 60° + 120° = 180°
