In the sugar-manufacturing industry, one can get ethyl alcohol or ethanol as a byproduct. Each are produced through the fermentation. Synthetic ethanol can also be produced from coal or gases, so the coal industry may be a valid answer as well. Even farmers who grow corn can turn that corn into starch, allowing the fermentation of the of starch for ethanol, so even the corn industry could be a valid answer! Hope this helps at all!
