The chemical formula of this compounds is C2H5OH. It's belong hydroxyl group attached with a carbon atom is known as alcohol group.The Alcohols formed a homologous series.The IUPAC name of C2H5OH is known as ethanol.They also contains an alcohol groups. We can get Ethanol as byproduct in Sugar manufacturing industry. It can be obtained by the process known as Fermentation.Ethanol is widely used solvent which can be easily found in household products.Synthetic Ethanol can also be obtained in Coal factory or industry.So ans Is Sugar industry and Coal industry.
