I would also add that even in the warm vacuum, there are gases.
The difference between a vacuum and a gas is in the concentration of gases, usually expressed as a mean-free-path: the remoteness you can go without hitting another gas molecule.
Even external atmosphere of the planet, there are continuously gas molecules zinging off away from the planet.

Exosphere layer of atmosphere gasses are not found.
Explanation:
- No gases are formed in the uppermost layer of the atmosphere that is the exosphere.
- This layer of atmosphere lies at an altitude of 10,000 metres above sea level. Beyond this layer an object is considered to be potentially in space.
- The gravitational force of attraction is also lesser in this layer. As a result the gases and the water vapour is escapes from this area to the space.
- Hence there is no concentration of atmosphere gases in this layer.
