Microbial enzymes such as proteases, carbohydrases are actually the micro organisms which are used as bio catalysts varying in their mechanisms and chemical properties by the industries in oxidation reduction and hydrolysis reactions. For example they are being used in agricultural, food processing, chemical, textile, analytical, pharmaceutical and wood industries and in biodegradation and bioremediation.

But they are not used in Paper industry because that industry does not involve any such process.
