In External fertilisation, both male and female organism will release their gametes (sperms and eggs) and just regret them. The regretted sperms and eggs fuse together to form an embryo when the sperm particles of male organism get contacted the eggs.
Usually, this type of fertilisation doesn't need any parental care where the environment in which the egg present will provide the parental care.
