Answer
Option d is correct answer.
Explaination :
ABO grouping is done based on the presence and the absence of antigens on the RBCs. There are two types of antigens namely antigen A and antigen B. similarly, the plasma of different individuals contain two natural antibiotics. They are proteins produced in response to antigens.
The blood group is distributed into four different groups namely, A, B, AB and O.
Blood group A contains antigen A and have anti - B antibodies in plasma. It can donate blood to A and AB blood group.
Similarly,
Blood group B contains antigen B and have anti - A antibodies in plasma. It can donate blood to B and AB blood group.
Blood group AB contains both antigen A as well as B and have no antibodies in plasma. It can donate blood to AB blood group.
Blood group O doesn't contain antigens but have both anti - A and B antibodies in plasma. It can donate blood to all the groups and hence known as universal donor
