In all unicellular organisms, a single cell performs all life functions. Examples: bacteria, mycoplasma, cyanobacteria, protists, protozoans, some unicellular algae etc.. and many more. P.S: mosquito is not an unicellular organisms. So, in it, a single cell can't perform all life activities..

Because mosquito is a multicellular organism and also it has organs to do different function in its body.
