In retina, cone cell, electrical signals are generated so as to transfer to brain through optic nerve.
Electric signals are generated in the cone cells found in the retina of the eye. These cones along with some neuronal cells found in retina is responsible for generating action potential which passes through the optic nerve in the brain to form a image. So the presence of photosensitive cells as well as neuronal cells in brain generate electric signals in eye.
