At the end of the year 2000, the Government of India following the legislative laws passed the bill by the Parliament at the Summer Session.

With the passing of the bill the three new states were created and these are Uttaranchal, Chhattisgarh, and Jharkhand.

In the process, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar were reconstituted respectively. This helped in the formation of the new states and places at length.
