We know that,

  • In Quadrant I :- Both the x - coordinates and y - coordinates are positive .
  • In Quadrant II :- The x - coordinate is negative, and the y - coordinate is positive .
  • In Quadrant III :- Both the x - coordinates and y - coordinates are negative .
  • In Quadrant IV :- The x - coordinate is positive, and the y - coordinate is negative .

So, given points are (-7, -4) . As we can see that,

  • x - coordinate = (-7) = Negative .
  • y - coordinate = (-4) = Negative .

Since both coordinates are negative . Therefore we can conclude that, the given points are in Quadrant III .
