Near the South Pole.

  • Our Earth doesn't revolves around the sun with its axis in the vertical position due to which there is darkness for 24 hours of the day in June.
  • Due to the Earth's tilt, the regions near one pole are exposed to sunlight while the regions at the other poles would have remained dark.
  • During the summers the regions near the South pole (Antarctic zone) remain dark while during winters, the region near the North pole (Arctic zone) remains dark.
