It is the anaphase where the replicated chromosomes pair up to get separated for the two new nuclei to be formed during mitosis. This is when the paired up chromosomes seem to appear like bunch of bananas

In the ANAPHASE stage of mitosis, when the daughter chromosomes are pulled towards the poles of a dividing cells, the appearance of the chromosomes are just like bunches of bananas (as two bananas are attached together at centromere).
