In 1961 to 1966 third five year plan was introduced. This went on till fourth and fifth five year plan when in 1978 to 1980 a rolling five year plan was introduced. With the sixth plan in 1980 to 1985 seventh and then annual plan was introduced in 1990 to 1992 for rural development.
