Food Security Act is the Act of the Parliament of India aiming to offer the subsidized food grains approximately 2 thirds of India's 1.2 billion.

Food Security Act was signed as law on 12 September 2013 and it has been retroactive during the 5 July 2013.

Law converts legal entitlements for the existing food security programmes of the Government of India.
