The Sultan of Delhi, Muhammad Bin Tughlaq ruled from 1325-1351. It is during his rule that the Delhi Sultanate reached its farthest extent. It marched into a large part of the Indian subcontinent. He defeated his rivals and captured many cities. Muhammad Bin Tughlaq was the eldest son of Ghiyas-ud-din Tughlaq. Ghiyas-ud-din Tughlaq founded the Tughlaq dynasty. The Sultanate collected taxes from the peasants in return he took care of them and gave them justice.
