Thus price of 3 pounds of apple in winter = 3(x +0.75)
According to question,
3 pounds cost $5.88,
Thus 3(x+0.75)=5.88
3x + 2.25 = 5.88
3x= 5.88-2.25
x= 3.63/3
x= 1.21
