We can see x+y/xy=1/x + 1/y

in the same way x-y/xy=1/x - 1/y

Now, given that :-

1/x + 1/y=2

1/x - 1/y=1

Use elimination method

∴1/x=3/2 ∴1/y=1/2

Hence

∴x=2/3 ∴y=2
