  • y is total LP
  • z is total 90° OXeF angles

To Find :

  • x + y + z = ?

Solution :

Clearly, Total number of bond around Xe is 6

=> Therefore, x = 6

Total number of lone pair in XeOF₄

=> there are total 15 lone pairs, on XeOF₄ , therefore y = 15

total 90° OXeF angles

=> All OXeF angles on XeOF₄ are 90° , therefore z = 4

Hence

=> x + y + z

=> 6 + 15 + 4

=> 25
