In triangle XYZ,
XA is the median of side YZ.
So, YA=AZ=1/2 YZ
Let height of triangle= h cm
Area of triangle= 1/2×base×height
So, Area of triangle XYA = 1/2×YA×h
And, Area of triangle XZA= 1/2×ZA×h
⇒Area of triangle XYA = Area of triangle XZA
=1/2×YA×1/2h×ZA×h =YAZA =YAYA
YA=ZA =1
⇒Area of triangle XYA:Area of triangle XZA=1:1
