Yeast can undergo both aerobic and anaerobic respiration. Anaerobic respiration occurs in the absence of oxygen. It is also known as fermentation. At first, glucose is converted to pyruvate by the process of glycolysis. This yields 2 ATP molecules. Pyruvate is further converted to ethanol releasing carbon dioxide. So the products of anaerobic respiration are carbondioxide, ethanol and 2 ATP molecules.
