In Young's double slit experiment fringe width of pattern for light of wavelength is 600nm is 0.4mm. what will be the fringe width if entire apparatus is placed in water of RI 4/3.​

When immersed in water, the wavelength becomes λ ′ = μλ

Thus the new fringe width =β ′ =β× λλ ′

​ =β× μ1

=1.5mm
