Yes, In my opinion, I think imprisonment is an effective way of punishment. As we know that imprisonment is the specific state of being physically incarcerated or confined in an institutional setting such as a prison. So, Prison is an important option for incapacitating and punishing those who commit crimes, but the data show long prison sentences do little to deter people from committing future crimes. If anyone who commits crime will be imprisoned for some time, or either for a long period of time then the criminals will be deprived for doing future crimes which helps in the decrease of crimes in the society or community.
