Answer:

First, there should NOT be any Regional parties. Theoretically, they know more about the requirements of their state or region but in reality, they are hungry for power and development is the last thing in their agenda. They send MPs to Rajya Sabha which further leads to fragmentation of votes where voting/consensus is necessary to pass Bills.

Secondly, there should be at the most Three National political parties that is allowed to contest elections, both for centre & states. Taking the wish forward, there should be more restrictions on the age, qualifications and number of times a candidate can contest elections or hold Parliamentary membership. We don't need stalwarts who have been MPs or MLAs for multiple consequent times and think it is their birth right to contest again and again.

Going further with the wish list, no person should be allowed to switch parties without undergoing a cooling period of at least 5 years. And last, if not least, the draconian parliamentary whip should be done away with as it snatches away the independent thoughts of these elected representatives.
