Basket making, mat weaving and making of brooms are mostly done by women. According to my opinion this can be explained as follows:

• Women have better patience than that of men. The above mentioned work are mainly work of great patience.

• Mat weaving, basket making requires great skills of the hand. Women master their skills by working hard and with greater composure.

• Requirement of physical strength is very less for basket making and mat weaving.
