During act 2 scene 1 ,the first entry of Morroco, shows that Morocco is a boastful person he boasts about his colour ,and he is the neighbour of Sun and he is the most bravest and the most beautiful among their citizens citizen.he demands to bring the most beautiful person who is born in the north where the sunlight does not Pierce the icicles,by making a cut in their skin he can prove whose blood is red test which means that he is boasting about his bravery.

But Portia, who does not want any person other than Bassanio to woo her,makes an excuse that the she is not a lead by colour or bravery, but by the selection of the right casket.

Morocco agrees to all the conditions supported by the selection of gaskets and was ready to make his choice and test his luck.

In act 2 scene 7,they are in the room where caskets are kept and Morocco is going to make his choice. At first he read all the the instruction given on each casket.the first instruction he explained was of lead and he considered less lead as very undignified and said that he will not wear anything or anyone for this dull and unbeautiful lead.

Next he took for silver caskets, but he does not explain everything about it.When he saw the golden gas that he was thrown away and without thinking much more he chose the golden casket.

But after opening the casket there was only a carrion death (skull) with scroll in its hollow eyes.

At that time Portia was so happy about the result and she was so relieved that she wants she does not want to marry such a boastful person.She said,"A gentle riddance,"which shows that she was completely relieved of the result and I was so happy . She also said,"let all of his complexion choose me so"it showed that she does not want to marry any person like him, who was boastful and coward.[hair complexion means colour as well as personality]
