Let the fraction be x/y

Given :sum of numerator and the denominator is =60

=>x+y=60

\bold{\boxed{\red{x=60-y}}}

According to the question:

 =  >  \frac{x + 2}{y - 2}  =  \frac{1}{3}

 =  > 3x + 6 = y - 2

 =  > 3x - y =  - 8

 =  > 3(60 - y) - y =  - 8

 =  > 180 - 3y - y =  - 8

 =  > 180 - 4y =  - 8

 =  >  - 4y =  - 8 - 180

 =  >  - 4y =  - 184

 =  > y =  \frac{184}{4}  = 46

\bold{\green{y = 46}}

\bold{ =  > X= 60 - y = 60 - 46 = 14}

\bold{\red{x = 14}}

\bold{\boxed{Fraction =  \frac{x}{y}  = \frac{14}{46} \:  or \:  \frac{7}{23}} }
