Answer:

A balanced diet gives your body the nutrients it needs to function correctly. To get the nutrition you need, most of your daily calories should come from eating fresh fruits and vegetables, grains, proteins and a small quantity of fats too.

An unhealthy diet is one of the major risk factors for a range of chronic diseases, including cardiovascular diseases, cancer, diabetes and other conditions linked to obesity.

Reports present alarming figures for the prevalence of obesity and noncommunicable diseases. Overweight and obesity are potent risk factors for cardiovascular diseases and type 2 diabetes and are major contributors to premature death.

It also leads to many serious diseases like:

Malnutrition: lack of proper nutrition, caused by not having enough to eat, not eating enough of the right things, or being unable to use the food that one does eat.

Fatigue: extreme tiredness resulting from mental or physical exertion or illness

Long Term Problems: like diabetes, thyroid, heart disease, cancer, sleep apnea, stroke, infertility and osteoarthritis.

Emotional and psychological problems: It leads to the reduction of self esteem in one self and also leads to a feeling from detachment from the wordly problems and even depression

Change in appearance: If one lacks adequate amount of nutrition, his appearance changes to a pale and a dull one and he looks very sleepy all day

Hence to conclude, a balanced diet is most important to lead a normal life.

Hope this helps
