In triangle ABC, by Pythagoras theorem

AB² + BC² = AC²

10² + 24²= AC²

100+576=AC²

√676=AC

AC= 26m

Now,

In Tri. ABC

Ar. of Tri. ABC = 1/2 ×10× 24

=120m²

In Tri. ADC

by heron's formula,

s=26+18+16/2

s=30m

Ar.= √30(30-26) (30-18) (30-16)

= 141.98m²

=142m²

So, the total area of quadrilateral ABCD = (142+120)m²

=262m²
