When population will increase the need for water will also increase automatically.People use the water for irrigation , agricultural,and also to meet their own needs and interests such as drinking ,washing etc.

Industrialisation is also responsible for the decrease in the water level .The waste products that r released from industries r thrown into the water bodies due to which water bodies get polluted and amount of water also decreases .Also some people who live near water bodies throw the household wastes into these water bodies .wash clothes there ,clean their pet animals in these water bodies.All these lead to the decrease in water table
