Dear Principal Sir/Madam, teachers and friends. Today, we have come here to celebrate the 73rd Independence Day of India.

On 15th August in 1947 we got independence from Britishers. First Prime Minister of India, Chacha Nehru, raised the Indian flag at Red Fort in New Delhi. He also gave his famous speech that day. It was called “Tryst with Destiny”.

India became a free nation on this day. Freedom was not easy to get. Many brave freedom fighters had died. They had died to make the country free. We should remember their courage and fight.

They bravely fought for 200 years. We must remember them and honor them. Raise the flag high and sing national songs. Do not put the flag down. Do not tear the flag. Freedom is very important, so keep it safe. With this I end my speech.

• Good morning all my respected teachers and batch mates. Today we already know that It's a very special day for us. On this occasion I am going to give a small speech on Independence day.
• As India's national holiday, we observe Independence Day. The day commemorates the anniversary of the nation's declaration of independence from the British Empire on August 15, 1947.
• In addition, it is the most auspicious day for Indians because it marks the end of many struggles and sacrifices made by the valiant independence fighters in India.
• The 15th of August has been a significant date in Indian history and in every Indian's heart ever since. Additionally, the entire country observes this day in the truest sense of patriotism. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was chosen as India's first prime minister upon the country's independence. In addition, he initially raised our tricolour flag at the Red Fort in the nation's capital, New Delhi.
• Since then, Red Fort New Delhi has hosted an annual Independence Day celebration. We also commemorate the lives lost in order to achieve this freedom on Independence Day.
• Due to the fact that they were the ones that fought for our nation. In addition, we put aside our differences and come together as a true nation should on this day.
• Every government structure is also embellished with tricolour lights in the colours of the national flag: orange, white, and green.
