India is the 7th largest country in the world.None of the country other than India has such a long coast line like India (7,515.16km). This coast lines has been a chief factor for commercial purposes, fisheries, etc.

The various  passes across the mountains in the North have provided the ancient travellers to pass through India. This resulted in sharing of ideas and commodities. The ideas of Ramayana,Mahabharata and Upanishads ,and the stories of Panchatantra were taken from India to the other parts of the world. The Indian  number system and the concept of zero and decimal system also spreaded from India to the other parts of the world. On the other hand, spices ,muslin and other merchandies were also taken from India .The Greek sculptures and the architectural work of domes and minerates are also found in different parts of the country.
