The meaning of intented is to cut or tear along an irregular line so that the parts can later be matched for establishing authenticity.

Indented coast line are those coasts where the coast line is not smooth and there are a number of cuts and bays all along the coast giving rise to a number of deltas and creeks.

Their angular, capricious, and deeply indented coasts are rich in gulfs and peninsulas. In  the india ocean region the coast of West Bengal which covers the Sunderbans are considered as indented coasts.
