Explanation;

 In summer, Rajasthan may record 50C whereas; it may about 20C in Jammu and Kashmir.

 In winter, Jammu and Kashmir may record -45C. On the other hand Thiruvananthapuram

may have 20C.

 Meghalaya receives 400 cms. of rainfall in a year but it drops to less than 10 cms. in Ladakh

and western Rajasthan.

 Precipitation is mostly in the form of snowfall in the Himalayas while it only rains over the  rest of the country.
