It is beneficial because various type of natural sea ports are situated here. It help us to in fishing . It help INDIA in trade with other countries by sea way and by sea transport. And u might know that sea transport is cheapest means of transportation. And many more ways.

like long coastline provides large no. of sea routes and connect india to many other continents . also trade via water is more.
* beneficial for agricultural ( as soil is moistured.)
* as along it there happen many trades so it causes job opportunities to many including fishermen.
* as india is projected in to the indian ocean it provides two sea's to india - arabian sea and bay of bengal.
