India has not adopted any religion and yet we find in newspaper that riots are happening in different part of the country on religion.Do you think these will stop if every state in India has freedom to adopt it’s own religion. Why or why not?​

India does not have any official religion because it is a secular country. The Indian state neither encourages nor discourages any religion. Every person has the right to profess and propagate his or her religion.

Laws and Indian Constitution. The Preamble of the Indian Constitution has the word "secular", and articles 25 to 28 implying that the State will not discriminate, patronise or meddle in the profession of any religion. However, it shields individual religions or groups by adding religious rights as fundamental rights.
