It is covered with fertile plains like the Indo-Gangetic plain, multitude of rivers Godavari, Krishna etc and also islands of Arabian Sea, Lakshadweep and "Bay of Bengal- Andaman and Nicobar islands". Hence, India is called as a country of great geographical extent.
