occupation in our country. Indian farmers work hard and
help to make Indian Economy powerful. There are three
types of crops in our country- Kharip crops, Rabi crops
and Zaid crops. Kharip crops are also known as
Monsoon crops. These crops are generally sown in the
month of June or July during the South-West Monsoon
season. Bajara, jowar, paddy, maize, pulses, groundnut,
cotton and soya bean are the major Kharip crops in India.
Rabi crops are also known as winter crops in our country.
Rabi crops are commonly sown in the month of October
or November. These crops are harvested in the month of
March or April. Rabi crops include wheat, barley,
mustard, sesame and pea. Zaid crops are generally
grown from March to June. The major examples of Zaid
crops are watermelon, muskmelon, vegetables like
