Democracy is the government for the people, of the people, and by the people. It is the best form of government. It ensures equality freedom, liberty, and safety to all the people. For a country like India where people of diverse cultures, traditions, religious and political beliefs live together, only democratic form of government can keep them united.
Fortunate are people who live in democracies. Our ancestors won this privilege with many sacrifices. India too is the largest democracy in the world. What makes democracy really successful is the enfranchisement (right to vote).
Only people that are united can contribute to the national development optimally. Any other type of government will fail miserably. Democratically elected government works for the welfare of their people. If it doesn’t, then the people can reelect their ministers.
People should actively take part in running a democracy.
