2. India got independence on 15th August, 1947.

3. India was a very poor country at that time.

4. The first Prime Minister of independent India Mr. Pandit Nehru led India in that difficult time very well.

5. But, India had to face three wars in the first 25 years of its independence.

6.India had a very less foreign currency and other industries.

7. In the decades of 1970, United Nations Organisation ( UNO ) declared that decade as World Women Decade and 1975 as World Women's Year.

8. As a result of this, women also got a place to express themselves and to do something for their nation.

9. In India, Mrs. Inidra Gandhi was the Prime Minister in 1975.

10. She took many beneficial decisions in her time.

11. She was the first lady Prime Minister of India. She took the decision of atomic test in Pokharan.

12. Finally, in 1990 in the guidance of the Prime Minister P. V. Narsinhrao and Finance Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh, India accepted 'Globalisation'.
