Yes India is a fine democracy marred by poverty , ill health , communal violence and corruption . Despite the bold statements to promote democracy in the Indian constitution we do not view it much in our practical life . The country is being over populated . The people are still being discriminated on the grounds of race , sex , religion in schools and many other educational institutions . A large section of our country faces shortage of medical care even though the rule to provide free medical care to all in emergency has been applied . In corruption people have moved ahead of the whole world . There are people who don't pay taxes , cheat others etc . Also domestic violence and other cases amongst our women are common .

Ailments Of Indian Democracy

In spite of 70 years of independence, we are a struggling

democracy. Nowhere in the world are democratic values mocked as here in our

country. The Government, a body of represented leaders and ministers, who are

responsible for the smooth functioning of the political, economic,

developmental processes of all the areas are highly corrupt and inefficient.

There is perfect lawlessness and disorder everywhere related to the Government

or run by the Government at center and state levels. Which problem is not there

that does not ail India? Over-population, poverty, communal violence, and

corruption are the greatest impediments to the national development and

advancement.

India is the second largest populated country in the world. This

unplanned population explosion has adversely affected the natural resources of

the country. Since most of the population is illiterate and backward, they are

not able to manage and use resources wisely. The mismanagement and exploitation

of resources have caused pollution.

A majority of population is living in abject poverty. The evils

of corruption, over-population, and general backwardness weave a vicious web of

poverty.

Another evil of our democracy is communal violence. Since most

of the people in our country are illiterate and slave to savage and obsolete

type of thinking, communal disharmony is rampant. Quite often people belonging

to different faiths get involved in communal clashes, which further keeps our

nation backward.

Political corruption is worst in India. The major cause of concern is that

corruption is weakening the political body and damaging the supreme importance

of the law governing the society. In the past few decades there was every

conceivable scam and scandals in all key ministries. These cams and scandals

tarnished the image of the country nationally as well as internationally. There

were so many scams that people lost complete trust in the government.

Indian Coal Allocation Scam, 2G Spectrum Scam, Commonwealth Games Scam, Telgi

Scam, Satyam Scam, Bofors Scam, the Fodder Scam, etc, are some of the many

scams that were done by elected ministers, politicians, bureaucrats, and high

government officials. The Indian Law system is so incompetent and vulnerable,

that in spite of being guilty, politicians, bureaucrats, high government

officials remain scot free.

Democratic values such social, political, economic equality, tolerance,

secularism, liberty, freedom exist in constitutions only. On the other hand,

our neighbouring country China, a non-democratic country has been able to

successfully take the nation ahead in many spheres. Is it because the

Government there does not allow taking anything for granted?

Other democracies such as Japanese, South Korean, and American are far more

advanced than the Indian democracy! What is the reason behind their success and

our failure? The one answer to all the questions is DISCIPLINE. Neither our

Government is disciplined nor are our people! They are undisciplined in

everything they do! As a result there is glaring disorder. Broken roads, piled

up files of pending work, population, low economic growth, technological

backwardness, corruption, insecure borders with the hostile neighbouring

countries, and poor work ethics are the results of being UNDISCIPLINED.

If India is to become an ideal democracy in the true sense, all the Indians

must become DISCIPLINED and get rid of the above mentioned evils. Otherwise our democracy is meaningless and we as a nation will always remain backward.

Brain list pls❤️❤️❤️
