India is a potentially rich and great nation. .Thirty-five crores of our people are below ‘naked ‘ poverty line. The average income is lower than the minimum wages fixed by the government. There are three pre-requisites to limit this growth rate. They are - low infant mortality , higher life expectancy and a more equal distribution of nation’s wealth. Our economy hasn’t shown any dynamic growth since Nehruvian times. The unequal distribution of wealth is in fact the greatest reason. It has given rise to the very rich and very poor classes. The former do not bother about the number of children as they can easily afford them, the latter because they can’t in any case be poorer. So the most important thing is to raise the standard of living of the very poor in country.
