India, also known as Bharat, is a Union of States. It is a Sovereign Socialist Secular Democratic Republic with a parliamentary system of government. The Constitution provides for a Parliamentary form of government which is federal in structure with certain unitary features.

india is a socialist , secular and democratic country due to the following reasons :

1. a secular country refers to a country which does not follow a particular religion. india is a secular country as it has many religions, cultures, traditions , languages and castes. india is a very diverse country. therefire , its secular.

2.in india, the people play a major role in the electing of representatives. monarchy does not exist in india. its run by the govt so its a democratic country.

3.in india, people have the right to be free . they have the right to roam freely ,do whatever occupation they like, follow any religion they believe in etc. hence its socialist also
